Dr. Silva served 20 years in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Colonel in 2013. He retired as the Chief of Rheumatology at Keesler Medical Center where he began his distinguished Air Force career. Dr. Silva has a very patient-centered approach to medicine and believes that the best way to manage rheumatic disease is through a partnership with his patients.

Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University
Attended Ponce School of Medicine graduating with Academic Distinction
Internal Medicine residency at the Air Force’s Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi Mississippi in 2005
Rheumatology Fellowship in 2007 from Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio
